Njegova produkcija pojavila se u zlatno doba elektronske glazbe. Radi se o jednom od prvih britanskih acid house producenata.
Ujedno smatraju da je on prvi imao dvije instrumentalne produkcije na top ljestvicama u isto vrijeme. Tada je radio dosta i techno, hardcore, jungle a produkcije koje su ga proslavile su ‘Voodoo Ray’, ‘28 Gun Badboy’. Formirao je sastav 808 state s bubnjevima, 303-icom, 2 Rolanda SH101 i dvoje ljudi. Surađivao je s imenima kao što su Frankie Knuckles, Goldie, Finley Quaye, Derrick May, Herbie Hancock. Remixe je radio za David Bowiea, New Order, Romana Fluegela, Trickya i druge.
