Ove radikalne mjere rezultat su nove politike koja u idućim godinama planira lokalnom stanovništvu dati malo mira nakon dva desetljeća neprestane invazije klupski orjentiranih turista na "bijelo otočje". Ova vrsta turista navodno im je donijela mnoge konflikte između clubbera i otočana, što je rezultiralo divljaštvom i uništavanjem otoka.
Vlast ne namjerava ugasiti klupski turizam u cijelosti. Shvaćaju da cijelo otočje praktički živi od tog ljetnog biznisa ali od sezone 2011. planiraju uvesti striktna pravila rada i dignuti standarde po kojima će opstati samo najveći i najbolji klubovi. Želja im je da pojam "clubbinga" ima svoju priču i kvalitetu, a ne da baš svatko može imati klub i raditi šta hoće.
Također organizirat će se češće akcije čišćenja otoka i plaža.
