Soma Records je ove godine ugostila mnogo umjetnika nego što je to bio slučaj prijašnjih godina. Neki od njih svojim su radom i zalaganjem dobili ugovore i pridružili se ovom sjajnom teamu. Xpansul & Massi DL, Mr Copy, Harvey McKay i Decimal su glazbenici na koje se računa u bližoj budućnosti i koji su dio generacije koja je uzrokovala brz napredak zvuka ove etikete. Također godina za Somu je bila izvanredna, Adam Beyer je remixirao Slam, Orlando Voorn je izdao Octogen, Onionz je obradio Funk D`Voida, Robert Hood je remixirao Black Doga dvaput.
Godinu mogu zaokružiti sjajnim uspjehom i nagradama poput nagrade za The Black Dogu "album godine" (Radio Scarecrow), Sci Fi Hi Fi serija se uspješno nastavila objavljivati u serijama 4 i 5 koje su radili Funk D`Void i Slam. Lo Fi serija je došla do brojke 2 a radio ju je Damian Lazarus. A za 20 godina rada kluba Sub Club u Glasgowu Soma je objavila duplu mixanu kompilaciju od autora Optima i Subculture.
Na ovaj uspjeh Some treba nadodati uspjehe dvojca Slam koji su idejni začetnici ove izdavačke kuće. Osim što su bili zaposleni na nastupima, napravili su podetiketu "Paragraph" koja se fokusirala na mračniju stranu elektronskog zvuka. Prvi single "City Destroyer" je zapeo za oko svim boljim DJ-ima a nedavno je predstavljen drugi po redu – The One Note Samba.
Momci su radili i remixe za Paul Ritcha, Prompta, The Black Doga, Radio Slave itd. Emisija Essential Mix je direktno prenosila njihov party kojim su obilježili 10 godina klupske večeri Pressure, a sve skupa se odvijalo u multimedijalnom centru The Arches koji se nalazi u Glasgowu. Soma i Slam svake godine rade sve više i takav rad publika je nagradila ogromnom potporom, a definitivno će se ta ljubav graditi i idućih godina.
