Svein Berge & Torbjørn Brundtland kratili su hladne norveške zime skladajući neke od najtoplijih skladbi novog milenija. Slijedeći svoj istančani skandinavski smisao za melodije i vrhunske aranžmane, osvježen jasnom vizijom suvremene pop-elektronike, stvorili su Röyksopp, jednu od najuzbudljivijih pojava u recentnoj svjetskoj glazbenoj produkciji. Pjesme poput "Eple", "Poor Leno" i "Remind Me" s njihovog proslavljenog prvijenca "Melody A.M." lansirale su ih u sam vrh glazbene scene, donijele im niz Brit Awards nominacija, uključujući i onu za najbolji internacionalni band, MTV Award za najbolji video spot i nastupe s prvoligašima poput Mobya i Basement Jaxxa. Sličan recept ponovili su i s drugim albumom koji je iznjedrio globalni hit "What Else Is There" obojan veličanstvenim vokalom Karin Dreijer iz grupe "The Knife".
Röyksopp je lansirao treći studijski uradak "Junior" čiji je naslovni single "Happy Up Here" osvojio radijski eter. Junior i Senior prikazuju dvije različite strane produkcijske inspiracije ovog dvojca.
Junior je tako mnogo orjentiran na vokale, melodije i harmonije uz mnogo energije, dok Senior je potpuna suprotnost ovom produkcijskom radu. Mnogo mekši, poppy zvukovi koji donose emocionalno nestabilne melodije.
