Čast da tijekom festivala povećaju broj stanovnika dobili su Barcelona i La Coruna. Ovo je ujedno i prvi put da Sonar svoja događanja raspoređuje u dva grada. U Barceloni će biti smješten tradicionalni festival, a u La Coruni festival nosi ime Sonar Galicia. Kao i u Barceloni, Sonar Galicia će imati dva dijela. Prvi, Sonar By Day, prednost će dati umjetnicima sa tog područja dok će drugi, Sonar By Night, prezentirati najbolje od svjetlosnih efekata što se trenutno može naći u svijetu elektronike.
Prvog dana nastupaju: Caribou, Broadcast, Cluster, Tristan Perich, Speech Debelle i Pete Tong.
18. lipnja Sónar by day presents King Midas Sound, Nosaj Thing, Delorean, BFlecha, New Young Pony Club i Lucrecia Dalt.
Sónar by night istog dana predstavlja slijedeće live umjetnike: LCD Soundsystem, Air, Plastikman, Hot Chip i The Sugarhill Gang, The Mary Anne Hobbs performance (Flying Lotus, Roska i Joy Orbison) te DJ setove koje potpisuju: 2manydjs, Magda, Claude VonStroke i Hudson Mohawke.
19. lipnja Sonar by Night presents The Chemical Brothers, Roxy Music, Jónsi (Sigur Rós), Dizzee Rascal, Fuck Buttons i Matthew Herbert’s One Club, DJ setove: DJ Hell, Caspa, Angel Molina, Dixon and Del Palo Soundsystem, The Slew, Necro Deathmort, Jimi Tenor & Kabu Kabu, Macromassa, Lunice and Moodymann.
