Napravljen je tako da se "ugradi" u rupu za 45RPM adapter (koju ima svaki Technics 1200 gramofon) ili da jednostavno stoji na CD playeru.
Iako predviđen za Scratch Live setup, Dicer je u biti klasičan MIDI uređaj što znači da će ga korisnici Ableton Live-a i Traktora također moći koristiti za kontrolu odabranih parametara. Zanimljivo je da je, pomoću shift tipke, moguće Diceru pridružiti čak 60 odvojenih funkcija!
