Tiesto i Armin Van Buuren pokupili većinu nagrada na IDMA 2009
Evo važnijih rezultata netom završene dodjele nagrada International Dance Music Awards u Miamiu. Eric Prydz odnio je nagradu s pjesmom "Pjanoo" za najbolji underground uradak, dok su podosta nagrada pokupili Tiesto i Armin Van Buuren. Ovaj prvi je dobio nagradu kao najbolji solo umjetnik, najbolji svjetski DJ, za najbolji DJ mix s albumom "In Search of Sunrise 7: Asia" te najbolji podcast.
Armin je osvojio nagradu za najbolji video spot i house/trance uradak (In And Out Of Love – Armin van Buuren feat. Sharon den Adel), zatim kao najkvalitetniji europski DJ, te je njegova radio emisija "A State of Trance" proglašena najboljom. Od ostalih , Deadmau5 je opet odnio nagradu kao najbolji nadolazeći DJ. Paul Van Dyk je najbolji producent a Beatport najbolji distributer glazbe. Klub Pacha New York osvaja nagradu za američki kontinent a Amnesia na Ibizi globalnu nagradu. DanceMusic.About.com je najbolji portal za elektronicku glazbu.
