Još od početka devedesetih pa sve do sredine posljednjeg desetljeća Hawtin je nastupao pod ovim imenom kako bi prezentirao minimal i techno pravac čiji je ujedno i jedan od utemeljitelja.
Retrospektiva pod nazivom Kompilation objedinjuje produkcije iz svih faza Plastikman-ove produkcije počevši sa „Plasticine“ iz 1993. godine, a završno sa mračnom hipnotičnom produkcijom „Ask Yourself“ iz 2004. Objavljivanje ove kompilacije podudara se sa skorašnjim Hawtin-ovim oživljavanjem svog alterega koje je rezultiralo serijom vizualno pojačanih Platikman-ovih živih nastupa ovog ljeta uglavnom na festivalima kao što su Movement u Detroitu i Time Warp u Njemačkoj. Izdanje Kompilation je prethodno bilo dostupno u Minus-ovm Ghost Shop-u tokom ovogodišnjeg festivala Sonar u Barseloni, ali će za širu distribuciju sačekati do 14. rujna 2010.
